Hello folks, TL;DR Version of the next seven posts-- This is an analysis and history of the slot machines in the game and then a suggestion for changes to the Contraband Slot Machine 1.1 that could be used as a Template for future Slot Machines as well covering the other Cartel Shipments. The Premise of this post is that the current odds combined with the rewards from the slot machine completely remove any 'fun factor' from using the item. What it then becomes is a cheap dispenser of reputation for the Contraband Shipment rep vendors. (While not examined, this also devalues significantly the experience of players who have maxxed their rep via the old method) This is going to be long. I apologise for that, but I request that you bear with me and read through it all if you have a comment or wish to debate a point about the numbers etc. Please also understand that the intent for this suggestion is to give constructive and useful feedback to EA/BioWare in hopes that they consider this as a repair for the current Contraband Slot Machine and any future slots created. Please try to consider the health of the game and its economy as a whole as well when making additions or other comments and suggestions. My aim here has been to make something that would be a fun addition to the game but which would not damage existing systems. This should be a fun toy, it should not supplant essential mechanics.
